Windows 8 Mail

Follow this guide to bring Smart Solutions Hosted Email into the built in Windows 8 Mail app

  1. From your start screen, click or touch the Mail tile.  If you haven't already set up your Microsoft account, follow the steps to complete that.
  2. Bring up the "Charm" bar by either swiping from the right edge of your screen inward or moving your mouse to the upper right corner of the screen.  When the bar appears, touch or click on the Settings icon. 
  3. In the Settings panel touch or click on Accounts.
  4. Touch or click on the "Add an account" item.
  5. Touch or click on the "Other Account" menu.
  6. Touch or click on the "Show more details" link.
  7. Fill in all boxes on this screen, substituting the last part of your email address for the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers. For example, your e-mail address was "", then the mail servers would be "".  Also, make sure your User Name is your full e-mail address.  Your password should be pre-assigned.  All of the check boxes should be configured as illustrated below.
  8. Finally, touch or click Connect.  If everything was entered properly, your setup is complete!
